I wanted to say so much more the "family" night but I couldn't keep my thoughts together and I wouldn't have kept the tears from falling much longer either so I decided that I could write some down here. A few things I remember doing with Timo:
Trying to help him learn to work field. The guys had showed him one or two passes then left him out on his own. He was sooo worried that he would do it wrong I went out there and rode a few rounds with him and told him it was fine to make skips the first field or two that he worked and that he could overlap some until he got the idea. It wasn't long though and he'd had enough. His crazy sis n law wasn't too much help on that.
When I first joined the family he called Brent "Good guy" all the time because the rest of the family had tryed to tell Tim that Brent was a good guy.
When something would go wrong and I would say "bummer" or "that's a bummer" he would ask what it ment I told him "A bad deal" so after a while it was me saying "bummer" and Tim saying "bad deal"
With him being 21 years younger than Terrell he never realy remembered Terrell at home and Terrell and I had a hard time not being to Mom and Dadish to him, but he had no problem reminding us who we were and that he wasn't our son.:-) Altho when we went places without folks people would always ask at eating places looking at me "how many childrens menus?"
One time over at our house that we'd bought from Grandma Fern the guys got a fire started in the shed.. Tim was in a panic about it but told me "they got it stopped cause I prayed" Another time The men had to pull start the cabover tuck down the hill by our place and Tim knew it would be dangerous in his 5 year old eyes VERY dangerous, he came into the house totaly in a wad It took some time to calm him down but when I told him that he'd just have to trust God that nothing would happen to the guys he calmed down and trusted.. altho he had to stand on the bed and peer out the window while the guys pulled the truck down the hill:-)It was still scary fun.
After Tyrah was born it seemed like Tim and her were more like bro and sis than uncle amd neice. there was 4 1/2 TO 5 years between them. and like siblings they had times when they LOVED eachother and times they couldn't abide being together.. those times were normaly when Tyrah was "a girl" or "too little" or when Tim wanted to be with his friends without a little girl tagging along... But mostly they got along awesome. Tim taught Tyrah how to do all the "boy" things he could Keith has always been her hero but Tim was the older sibling she didn't have. The sand pile in back of folks shed slowly got less as they used the Tonka truck to haul it from onea place to another. and our got emptied out by spoonfuls and the sand box was turned into Scott Lake as they "planted" trees (sticks) and dug the Lake out.
When Tim was a little guy he was small for his age and My dad would see him and tell him to put rocks in his pockets or he would blow away in our Kansas wind... I don't think Mom-n-law liked that too much because Tim beleved my Dad and rocks had to get poured out his pants pockets.
More recently Tim had been running or riding over to our place to jump on the trampoline. The kids LOVED it I'm not sure how Tim felt about it, because I know he was wanting to perfect his flips and other tricks but the children watched and learned how to do different jumps, bounces and flips..
We will miss the guy something aweful, but we would NEVER wish him back from heaven door...I was looking forward to Tyrah having an Uncle in the youth to take her to and from the youth deals so she wouldn't have to drive alone.. There are soo many memories left unlived when a person dies soo young and yet we are soo glad he was in our life for the short time God borrowed Tim to us.. I would never say the pain of loosing him wasn't worth the pain of having a little brother like him. I love you Timmo!
