Obituary of Sgt. Floyd Brown

Sgt. Floyd L. Brown, age 52, died Monday, December 3, 2012 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on May 4, 1960 in Muleshoe, Texas the son of Lester and Alice Williams Brown. A resident of Garden City since 1992 he had been a truck driver for the Garden City Feed Yard, LLC. Floyd was a member of the Mt. Zion Church and was a US Marine Corps veteran. On June 1, 1981, he married Mary Joyce Collins in Hereford, Texas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: One Son, Steven L. Brown of Salina, Kansas; Three Daughters, Christy A. Brown of Dallas, Texas, Shantellee L. Brown of Dallas, Texas and Lataish "Tish" Brown of Garden City, Kansas; Four Brothers, Clyde Brown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Leo, Joe & Lester Brown all of Hereford, Texas; Five Sisters, Learjean, Trudy, MaryAnn, Joyce & Renae Brown all of Hereford, TX; And Ten Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm Thursday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be at 2:00pm, Friday at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Ft. Dodge, KS. Memorials may be given to the Floyd Brown Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
