Obituary of Edna Cross

Edna R. LaMastres Cross, age 94, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on February 15, 1918 in Gove County, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas Gorley and Mary Emily Coe Russell. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1933 moving from Gove County, Kansas, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Scott City, Kansas. She was also a member of the Scott County EHU and Worthwhile Workers both of Scott City. She also was recognized as a long time Den Mother by the Boy Scouts of America. On August 5, 1933 she married Lawrence S. LaMastres in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on September 19, 1980 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors include her Five Sons - Harry & Mae LaMastres of Deepwater, MO, Ray & Karen LaMastres of Grinnell, Kansas, Howard & Barbara LaMastres of Wichita, Kansas, Rex & Linda LaMastres of Grand Junction, CO, Mark LaMastres of Garden City, Kansas, One Daughter - Dee Ann & Cecil Troutman of Loveland, CO, One Daughter In Law - Kay LaMastres of Independence, MO (Dwayne), One Sister - Edith Donecker of Scott City, Kansas, 22 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren, 18 Great Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and One Son - Dwayne. Funeral Services will be held at the Church Of The Nazarene in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 with Pastor Ward Clinton presiding. Memorials may be given to the Church Of The Nazarene or Scott County VIP Center % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
