Obituary of Amelia Waldren

Amelia Catherine (Molly) Younger Waldren, age 93, passed away on Monday October 22, 2012 at Greeley County Health Center Long Term Care in Tribune, Kansas. Molly was born May 19, 1919 at St. Peter, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph & Mary Braun Younger. A resident of Greeley County, Kansas since 1929 moving from Ness County, Kansas, she was a homemaker and farm wife and ran Waldren Dairy with her husband in the 1950's and 1960's. On November 26, 1941 she married Paul E. Waldren at Marienthal, Kansas. Paul passed away on August 6, 2004 at Tribune, Kansas. Molly was a very active member for many years at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in Tribune, Kansas. Molly's surviving family includes Two sons and their spouses- Richard P. & Sue Waldren- Lincoln, Nebraska T. Bruce & Emma Waldren- Olathe, Kansas One daughter- Mary Ann Simpson- Tulsa, Oklahoma Two sisters- Arlene Wetzel- Tribune, Kansas Manetta Wetzel- Lawrence, Kansas One brother- Ervin Younger- Salina, Kansas Ten grandchildren, Nineteen great grandchildren and One great great grandchild. Her parents, her Husband, Paul Waldren, three sisters and a brother killed in World War Two precede her in death. Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. ( MDT) Thursday, October 25, 2012 at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in Tribune, Kansas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. (M.D.T.) Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in Tribune, Kansas with Father Benjamin Martin officiating. Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas. Memorials may be given to St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
