Obituary of Margaret McCollum

Margaret P. "Sandy" McCollum, age 88, passed away at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. She was born on March 1, 1924 in Ness City, Kansas, the daughter of Tony & Lovena Wendler Meis. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1943 moving from Healy, Kansas, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Christian Women's Fellowship both of Scott City, Kansas. On May 11, 1946 she married Richard A. "Dick" McCollum in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on February 29, 1996 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors include her Two Sons - Tom McCollum of Scott City, Kansas, John McCollum of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters - Patti Hoeme of Scott City, Kansas, Anita McCollum of Scott City, Kansas, Judy Browning of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister - JoAnn Whitham-Hansen of Elkhart, Kansas, Eight Grandchildren and Eleven Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and Four Brothers. Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 with Rev. Scott Wagner presiding. Memorials in Lieu of flowers may be given to the First Christian Church or Scott County EMS % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
