Doug & Luann, Brad & Debra, and families, You all have our most sincere condolences at this difficult time. We will miss your wonderful mother, but know she is with your father now. I know she missed him so much. It doesn't matter how old we get, when we lose our parents it leaves a terrible void that only God can fill. That will be our prayer for you all in those lonesome days ahead, that God will fill that void with all the wonderful memories of your mother and the happy times you had with her. What a comfort it is knowing where she is. I know the angels were singing when she entered our Lord's presence! Irma was a wonderful Christian wife, mother and friend. She was a tremendous role model to me and we enjoyed living beside them in Scott City. When Nancy and I were growing up around the corner from where you lived, on Downing Road, we knew her as Doug and Brad's sweet mom. I did not know that in my later years, she would become a dear friend. She was quite a cook too! I have some of her recipes that she shared with me and will always think of her when we enjoy them. I'll always be thankful for the sunshine she added to my life and will cherish the memories of our good times together. She truly was a beautiful Christian woman, and a comforting influence in my life. I know she made God smile, and I know heaven shines a little brighter with her in it. Thank you for sharing this special lady with us. We will miss her so much. All our love to you all, Mike & Becky Stoppel
