The Miller family and the Haupt's lived across the street from each other in Shallow Water. Gary tells about the blizzad of 1957 when one afternoon Opal and David came over and brought cream puffs. Gary said they were quite a treat. They had to climb a drift as high as the house and then slide down into the front entry. Lots of stories have been shared over the years. We both enjoyed the lunch at school when Opal baked those yummy cinnamon rolls and a bowl of chile. Our thought are with you friends.
