Obituary of Janice Elder

Janice Irene Elder, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at her home in Tribune, Kansas. Janice was born January 18, 1939 in Dighton, Kansas, the daughter of Hugo & Beulah Thon Peterson. She worked in the insurance industry and had been a lifetime resident of Greeley County.
Janice enjoyed playing all sort of card games with her many relatives and friends throughout the Tribune and Leoti, Kansas area.
On January 1, 1960, she married Donald Cox at Raton, New Mexico.
On November 14, 1982 she married Frank Elder at Phoenix, Arizona. Frank passed away on February 2, 2002 at Leoti, Kansas.
Janice's surviving family includes-
One son and his wife-
Darrin & Tina Cox- Goddard, Kansas
One daughter-
Denise McLennan- Holcomb, Kansas
One brother and his wife-
Robert & Sandy Peterson- Grayson, Georgia
Two sisters and their husbands-
Linda & Ross Smades- Leoti, Kansas
Barbara & Dale Kerschen- Aurora, Colorado
Twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. (MDT) Monday, June 18, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Tribune, Kansas with the Reverend Paul McNall officiating.
Inurnment will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas
There will be no calling times.
Memorials may be given to the Greeley County Health Center in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas.
