Obituary of Bessie Farr

Garden City, Kansas Bessie G. Farr, age 92, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on August 20, 1919 in Sorento, Illinois, the daughter of William Bert and Grace Gertrude Dilbeck Cannon. A resident of Garden City since 1964 moving from Walnut, California, she was a Homemaker. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Garden City, Kansas. On June 22, 1947, she married Garold Farr Sr. in Winona, Kansas. He died on January 4, 2007 in Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include: Two Sons, Garold Farr Jr. of Garden City, Kansas and Marvin D. Farr of Emporia, Kansas; Several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Lloyd Chase and two sisters, Dorothy "Dottie" Honeyman and Norma Jean Geist. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Monday June 4, 2012 at the Church of the Nazarene in Garden City, Kansas. Friends may call from 1-8pm on Sunday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be held at 2:00pm on Monday in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Bessie Farr Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
