Alberta M. Brandenburger, age 85, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on October 6, 1923 in Healy, Kansas, the daughter of Elvan and Mary Jane McFadden Pinkston. She was a resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1941 moving from Healy, Kansas. She was a homemaker and worked for the CJ Collection for many years. Her memberships include the First Baptist Church of Scott City, Kansas. Alberta was a former Sunday school teacher and deaconess, she served as a Cub Scout Leader, Girl Scout Leader, and co-owner of Emil's Pontiac of Scott City, Kansas. On July 8, 1943 she married Emil Brandenburger in Leoti, Kansas. He passed away on February 16, 1987 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors include: Two Sons - Denny Brandenburger of Scott City, Kansas, Randy & Della Brandenburger of Garden City, Kansas, One Daughter - Diana Griffith of North Glenn, Colorado, One Step Daughter Delane Geeseka of Garden City, Kansas, Six Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, One Son â Kaydon Brandenburger, One Son In Law â Jim Griffith, Nine Brothers and Two Sisters. Funeral Service will be held a the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 witht the Rev. Kyle Evans presiding. Interment will be held in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas, Memorials ma y be given to the Alberta M. Brandenburger Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
