Obituary of Marjorie Kail

Marjorie Adel Kail, age 88, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Greeley County Health Center in Tribune, Kansas. Adel was born July 23, 1923 at Stafford, Kansas the daughter of John & Anna Witt Allen. A 1940 graduated of Stafford High School; she attended Hutchinson Junior College and the Adela Hale School of Business, both in Hutchinson, Kansas. Adel was a homemaker and farm wife and had been a resident of Tribune, Kansas since 1948 moving from Stafford, Kansas. Adel was a member of the Church of Christ in Scott City, Kansas where she taught pre- school children Sunday School. She was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary # 7521, The Greeley County Pride Committee, a 70 year member of Whitelaw FCE, a Busy Bee 4-H leader, Grandmas Pitch Club and a Kansas Farm Bureau Board Member. Adel was a member and served as President of Greeley County Home Extension Council Board and the Kuder Senior Citizens Center, all of Tribune, Kansas. On May 25, 1948 she married John Leslie Kail at Stafford, Kansas. He passed away on May 9, 1984 at Tribune, Kansas. Adel's surviving family includes- Two sons and their wives Gerald & Pat Kail- Sublette, Kansas Leslie Allen & Susan Kail- Tribune, Kansas Four Grandchildren- Jessica L. & Nathan Mielke- Grand Blanc, Michigan Molly & Joshua McDonald- Liberal, Kansas Cherie & Lance Wyatt- St. Louis, Missouri Zachary Allen Kail- Manhattan, Kansas Two great grandchildren Mathias McDonald and Samuel McDonald of Liberal, Kansas. Seven siblings preceded Adel in death. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. ( Central Standard Time ) Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Church of Christ in Scott City, Kansas with Dr. Daniel Dunn and Mike Steele officiating. Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Greeley County Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
