Obituary of Lorene Holder

Lorene "Granny" Holder, age 89, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on December 31, 1922 in Wilson, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lee Earnest and Asia Mary Orr Hubbard. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 2008 moving from Liberal, Kansas, she was a retired custodian. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: One Son, Jerry & Pat Holder of Ruidoso, New Mexico; Two Daughters, Darla & Jim Kinsey of Scott City, Kansas, Ruth & Ike Grinstead of Liberal, Kansas; One Brother, Earnest Hubbard of Payson, Arizona; One Sister, Mary Carriker of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her Parents, One Daughter - Mary Gladis Holder, One Brother - James Hubbard, and Two Sisters - Ruby Hubbard & Opal Petree. Graveside Services will be held at the Arkalon Cemetery in Seward County, Kansas, 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012. With the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding. Memorials may be given to the Lorene Holder Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Arkalon Cemetery in rural Seward County, Kansas. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11 and 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12.
