Thomas Harvey Yates, age 80, passed away at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas on Sunday, November 13, 2005. He was born on January 23, 1925 in Manning, Kansas, the son of Thomas Alexander Campbell and Ocea Lee Walters Yates. A farmer and stockman of Scott County most of his life, he moved Dighton, Kansas in 1997. He was a WWII and Korean Conflict Army Veteran.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Scott City, and VFW Post #6438 in Dighton, Kansas.
On March 2, 1957 he married Ruth Marie Garrison in Scott City, Kansas. She passed away on May 5, 1997 in Dighton, Kansas.

He was proceeded in death by his Parents, Wife, One Son â Joseph Harvey Yates, and Three sisters â Jeneldia Chrislip, Mildred Harkness, and Wilma Frank.
